1. Mauricio Pochettino

There isn’t another reason on this list that hasn’t been deeply influenced by manager Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival at Tottenham. He’s instilled a sense of pride at the club that emanates from everything they do.

When he took over at White Hart Lane, he took over a club that was deeply flawed. It was a broken roster due to the mishaps of previous managers and a wounded fan base that was tired of the club’s “soft” perception. He came in and systematically united the players and the fans behind his outstanding vision for Tottenham’s future.

Tottenham are no longer considered soft by anyone in the Premier League. They might be the “hardest” squad in England today. They press you relentlessly for 90 minutes and don’t give an inch to any opponent. Their style of play embodies everything their fans want to see.

As a result, a bond has been forged between manager and fans that hasn’t been seen in North London for ages. Tottenham fans love Pochettino and he seems to love the club. It’s a marriage made in lily-white heaven.

If Tottenham is able to complete their magical march with a Premier League title, fans and pundits alike will be able to point to Pochettino’s hiring as the journey’s first, and best, step.
