5. Harry Kane

Striker Harry Kane is vital to Tottenham both because he’s the club’s best striker, as well as their only true number nine. Fortunately for the team’s title hopes, he’s stayed healthy and prolific all season long to date.

Kane may not wow you with his physical speed or athleticism, but his eye for goal is beyond question. He has contributed a team-high 16 goals in 26 Premier League matches, but even that doesn’t fully describe his impact on the team.

His work rate might be just as valuable as his goal scoring acumen for Spurs. He works tirelessly at the top of the team’s high press and is a nightmare for opposing defenders who hesitate, even for a moment, on the ball. He really sets the tone for his teammates in that regard.

Of course, strikers are paid to score goals, so that’s what everyone focuses on. After a brief dry spell to open the season, he’s been on fire as of late. He has the talent level to go on a goal scoring run from now until the end of the campaign. If he can get on that kind of roll, it could make Tottenham very difficult to stop.

Kane is more than just a beloved academy product, he’s Tottenham’s true talisman. If they’re able to come through with a Premier League title his goal scoring record will be a big reason why.
