Diego Simeone’s arrival at Stamford Bridge would mean an exit for these five Chelsea stars

Most Chelsea fans would welcome Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to Stamford Bridge with open arms. His arrival would not, however, be universally enjoyed by all of Chelsea’s players. In fact, quite a few fan favorites would be sent packing.

Principally, Simeone would likely want to bring in some additional youth and athleticism into the squad. The La Liga boss would also want to bring in some players who have a little more fire in their bellies than Chelsea’s current lineup. Some of Chelsea’s old guard definitely don’t fit Simeone’s idea of what a first-team player should be.

That could make for some interesting outgoing deals at the Premier League club. Simeone would likely sell some of the club’s biggest and brighter stars. Make no mistake, if he takes over at Chelsea it will equal roster carnage for the current squad. No player should feel safe under those circumstances.

Curious what player’s days might be numbered if Simeone makes the rumored move? Well have no fear, all you have to do is read on to discover the top five Chelsea players who would be headed out the door if Simeone arrives at Stamford Bridge.
