1. Hugo Lloris – Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris is a machine of a goalkeeper and Tottenham would struggle an awful lot without him. Some saves that he makes really gets Tottenham out of jail and are just simply world-class. When he signed from Lyon in 2012, he was already France’s captain and many people were shocked to see him join Tottenham for such a small fee.

Many Tottenham fans will tell you that he has lived up to that price tag and much, much more. He is the Tottenham captain for a reason because he is a leader and often has been named ‘the calmest person on the pitch’ and the player everyone can look to in nervous times. He makes a huge contribution to the team and I find it very hard to believe that Tottenham would be in the position they are in right now without the help of such a world-class keeper.

Lloris has the chance in the summer to prove he is up there with the very best, as Euro 2016 is held in his home country, France. He is known as a sweeper keeper because he plays the role of a sweeper better than most defenders and Tottenham can always really on him to be on his toes and use his pace in most situations.
