4. Joe Hart – Manchester City

Manchester City and England number one goalkeeper is at number four in this countdown and not because he isn’t as good any more but due to the fact the standard of goalkeepers in the Premier League is higher than ever. Hart has consistently been a rock in-goal for Manchester City in their rise to stardom. He is one of the very few players that have been at the club before they became horribly rich and famous. He has, at times, been one of the best keepers in the world and has rarely disappointed for England and Manchester City.

Hart is a vital part of Manchester City’s spine and when he hasn’t played they have had problems at the back. Not just his goalkeeping ability makes him one of the best but he is also a really good leader for a team, which he has shown at every team he has played with.

Winning two Premier League titles in his long spell with City, Hart will hope for more to come in his career and with England in the future. Although Butland and Forster are hot on Hart’s heels for the England spot, I still feel that they have a while to go to achieve what Hart has achieved. So far this season he has kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League, the second best in the whole league. City might be struggling to win back the title, but they still have a world-class goalkeeper in Joe Hart, who I expect to be around for a few years longer yet.
