3. Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew probably isn’t even the best Premier League football player in his family, but I could still see him doing a job as a back-up for Tottenham. He’s shown enough form playing for his native Ghana, to make him worthy of transfer interest from Spurs.

Ayew is a versatile attacker who has played all over the pitch for Aston Villa this season. He can play anywhere along the front-line or even as a left or right-midfielder in a 4-3-3. Presumably, he could play any of Pochettino’s three attacking midfielder position. He might even be able to play as a striker in desperate circumstances.

His best position would be as one of the wide attacking options for Spurs. Out wide, he can use his pace and skill to really bother opposing defenders. Even with Villa’s struggles this season, he’s still managed to find the back of the net on five occasions.

Like Gestede, Ayew isn’t a player that I’d expect Tottenham to pursue with a lot of vigor. If Villa were to make him available at the right price though, he could be very good business for Daniel Levy. He’s a versatile attacker who could provide Tottenham cover at multiple positions.
