1. Can either of these teams catch Barcelona?

Both teams are coming off draws and are need of momentum. The pressure for momentum and a win is even higher considering who they are chasing. Barcelona are eight points clear of Atletico Madrid are are in top form.

More from Playing for 90

They recently dispatched Arsenal 2-0 in the Emirates and face off against Sevilla this weekend. Assuming the Catalans get all three points, a draw could be costly for both teams. A eight point lead is tough enough and a ten point lead would be almost impossible.

But other than catching up to Barcelona, both teams have to show that they have the quality to catch and beat the Catalans. Both Real and Atletico Madrid have struggled against Barcelona and need to prove that they are at least the second best team in Spain at the moment.

Their results this past week weren’t the most convincing. Even though Real Madrid got the win over Roma, they didn’t play at their best. Same goes with their draw against Malaga.

Atletico Madrid had numerous chances to go ahead against PSV, who played a part of the game with 10 men. They wasted chances and will have work to do in the second leg at the Vicente Calderón.

Can either of these teams catch Barcelona or have the chance too? We will see on Saturday.
