5. Will Alexis Sanchez show up?

Once again it was a tough performance by Alexis Sanchez. He didn’t make a significant impact for the Gunners for a lot of the game but came very close to making some magic. He hit the bar in the first half, something that seemed to be a common them for Arsenal as they hit the post three times against Swansea.

He also saw a free kick go just over the bar as he looks to regain his form from earlier in the year. He did have one great moment when he stopped Joel Campbell cutting in behind the defense and played a great ball over the top. The ball froze Swansea goalie Łukasz Fabiański and allowed Campbell to strike it on the volley and into the net.

After a tough performance against Man U, Sanchez rebounded with a solid but not great performance against Swansea. He is Arsenal’s best player in attack and has the ability to make a clear impact in the North London Derby.

He will likely be matched up against Kyle Walker in a battle of pure speed and Sanchez will have to work extra hard to win this battle. He has the ability to do so but he just needs to step up. Arsenal need to step it up as well or Sanchez could be leaving the Emirates this summer.
