By Vijay Vemu
5. Another night of missed chances for Arsenal
Like in the first leg, it was a night of missed chances for Arsenal as the Gunners missed some good opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net.

Aside from Elnenyâs goal, Arsenal did not have many shots on goal. Part of it was thanks to Javier Mascherano, who had a good tie playing at centreback for the Catalans. Part of it also goes to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who was once again superb as he came up with some good saves. His best was on a free kick by Alexis Sanchez which he pawed away and he also stopped the rebound shot by Oliver Giroud.
But Arsenal certainly should have done better with the chances they were given. Especially starters Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi as they had some really good chances in the box but either shot it wide or had the shot blocked. Welbeck especially as he was in on goal in the second half before he was caught up to and had the ball poked away by Mascherano.
The Barcelona defense was shaky at some moments in the game and Arsenal will be feeling like they could have at least picked out another goal. It was another night of âwhat ifsâ from Arsenal.
