7. Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg have a squad that deserves to be heralded among the best in the world. Defensively they have an excellent base with the center half pairing Naldo and Dante. Both players have represented the Brazil national side, are good in the air but also possess great pace to deal with multi-faceted strikers. Combine this with fellow Brazilian Luis Gustavo sitting in front, this makes for a difficult side to break down.

They showed their defensive ability in the home leg against Gent in the round of last 16 keeping a clean sheet. Any side that is difficult to beat and can keep a clean sheet at home has a great chance of winning the tie due to the away goals rule. When this defensive proficiency is combined with attacking talents like Julian Draxler, Andre Schurrle and Bas Dost, there is a good side.

Moreover, they play with typical German efficiency. They are physically fitter than any other side, consistently topping the running charts, and are managed excellently by Dieter Hecking who has created an enviable team spirit. While they have a nice blend of talent and hard work, they will need everything that they have to offer when in such esteemed company.
