4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Likelihood: 3.5/10

Arsene Wenger was this close to signing a 21-year-old Ibrahimovic in 2000. However, as the famous story goes, “Zlatan doesn’t do auditions.” He went on to win a title in nearly every season he played, at Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, and PSG. This title-winning pedigree is needed at Arsenal, and he could add vital experience to the team.

Although his personality is certainly different from the rest of the Arsenal squad, Zlatan would add a certain steely, lethal nature to the club that is currently missing. Perhaps he could even mentor the emotional Olivier Giroud to be cooler and more incisive on the pitch.

Ibrahimovic is unlikely to be able to play more than a year as a starter in the Premier League, due to his advanced age, but his presence would make Arsenal more intimidating and clinical. Ibrahimovic will almost certainly leave PSG, and he would be major value for a free signing on the expiration of his contract this summer.

However, there are concerns that his brash attitude would not be welcomed at Arsenal, and Zlatan will definitely receive higher wages at other clubs. He has “chased the check” before and will likely do so again.
