3. Gonzalo Higuain

Likelihood: 5.5/10

The Argentine hitman has been scoring regularly for Napoli in the Serie A, with 27 goals in 29 games. His goals have kept Napoli in the Scudetto race, within striking distance of the leaders, Juventus. Astonishingly, he has scored as many goals as the next two highest scorers combined in the Serie A, Paulo Dybala (14) and Carlos Bacca (13).

Higuain’s form means that Arsenal will definitely have to shell out a lot of money to buy him, considerably more than the €38 million Napoli purchased him for. Arsenal would certainly have to shatter their record transfer fee to bring the sensational striker into the team.

Arsene Wenger almost snapped up the former Real Madrid man in 2013, but he snubbed them for Napoli, who offered more money and higher wages. Higuain’s father, who is also his agent, even said, “Fortunately, I will soon be able to watch my son play in the Premier League.”

Higuain would definitely add vital goals that could send Arsenal to the Premier League title and past the Round of 16 in the Champions League. However, whether he would be keen on a move, after snubbing Arsenal twice, is still to be determined.
