1. Alexandre Lacazette

Likelihood: 7.5/10

Young, French, and versatile – Lacazette is almost the quintessential Arsenal signing. At 24 years old, he has plenty of potential to grow and already has a proven record as a goal scorer in the Ligue 1. The Lyon striker finished as the French league top scorer last season, with 27, even beating out Ibrahimovic.

Lacazette has not done as well this season, with injuries and the absence of his strike partner Nabil Fekir, but this can work to Arsenal’s advantage.

Arsene Wenger will be able to get Lacazette for a cheaper fee than most strikers of his caliber and quality, due to his pining for a move to England and Lyon’s struggles replicating last season’s form. The Lyon forward can play on the wings as well, similar to Danny Welbeck, and has the potential to become one of the top strikers in the world.

With his electric pace, composure in front of goal, and tremendous work rate, Lacazette would be an excellent fit for Arsenal’s attack. If Wenger believes that Alexandre Lacazette truly could fulfill his potential, it would not be a surprise at all if Lacazette wound up at the Emirates with the Arsenal No. 9 jersey on his back.
