Chelsea FC – 7 Players

Gary Cahill (England)
Cesar Azpilicueta (Spain)
Diego Costa (Spain)
Cesc Fabregas (Spain)
Pedro (Spain)
Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)
Eden Hazard (Belgium)

Chelsea is likely to send all 7 of the aforementioned players to Euro 2016. Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have been left off the current rosters during this break because of injury and undisclosed reasons respectively but are likely to make the final roster in the summer.

Eden Hazard is a curious case in that it is possible he is left off completely because he has had such a poor campaign for club and country. He has not scored a single goal from open play this season and has been hampered by niggling injuries. It is hard to see Marc Wilmots leave him off the Belgium squad because of his talent but there have been bigger shocks in the the realm of international squad selections.

One major source of embarassment for Chelsea FC in recent years has been the dwindling number of England internationals in the squad. The days of sending four or five players to the Three Lions squad are long gone but could return once again if some of the club’s youth players are given a chance to succeed.
