Stoke City – 6 Players

Jack Butland (England)
Jonathan Walters (Republic of Ireland)
Glenn Whelan (Republic of Ireland)
Marc Wilson (Republic of Ireland)
Marko Arnautovic (Austria)
Xherdan Shaqiri (Switzerland)

Stoke City is currently eight in the Premier League table and that is largely due to the work of these six gentlemen. Keeper Jack Butland has made the sale of Asmir Begovic to Chelsea FC look like a stroke of genius and the 23-year-old has made his claim to unseat Joe Hart as England’s number one.

Marko Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri are not the sort of players you usually associate with Stoke City but they have been excellent since coming to the Brittania Stadium. Arnautovic and Shaqiri have starred for the club with 13 goals and nine assists between them and are ready to take their impressive from to France.

Glenn Whelan and Jonathan Walters are shoo-ins for the Republic of Ireland squad but Marc Wilson is still recovering from medial ligement damage suffered in late January. He is doubtful to make a return to the squad but is fighting to make that happen.
