5. Kolo Toure

The time has come for the 35-year-old centre back to be mercifully put out to pasture. He’s somehow managed to muddle through ten Liverpool appearances this season and that is a statistic that should absolutely not be replicated next year.

More from Liverpool FC

Perhaps Toure would like to experience life in China..at any rate, he shouldn’t be playing at Anfield next season. While he hasn’t been a complete nightmare for Klopp, he’s nowhere near the quality needed to compete in the Premier League.

He’s got a poor Whoscored.com player rating average of just 6.63 in Premier League action and the only nice thing I’ve heard a Liverpool fan say about him all season is that he isn’t Steven Caulker. Klopp and company just have to move on from Toure this summer or playing him might really cost them crucial points next season.

Fortunately for the Liverpool faithful, it’s almost a certainty that Toure will not be playing for Liverpool next season. That fact should make the rest of the Reds’ defense sleep much easier this off-season.
