Pep Guardiola coming to Manchester City could mean the end for these five players who currently play for the Citizens
With Pep Guardiola set to come into Manchester City to take over the team as manager, change will be imminent. Compared to current manager Manuel Pellegrini, Guardiola will bring in a whole new tactical style to the Etihad. He will look to change the culture of a City team that has fallen on some hard times this season when it comes to winning the Premier League and the Champions League.
Man City currently sit 4th right now and are 15 points off the leaders Leicester City. But the Citizens have to forget about winning the league as they are only a point above West Ham for 4th right now and if they slip up, they could be out of a Champions League place. They also face a very tough quarterfinal draw as they face Ligue 1 giants PSG. Man City got past the Round of 16 for the first time in their clubs history but they could be facing an exit in the quarterfinals.
But regardless of what happens this season, Guardiola’s arrival will bring some well needed change. Manchester City have made some good transfers over the past couple of seasons. The deal for Kevin De Bruyne was a solid transfer as the Belgian has sparked the City midfield. But some deals haven’t gone so well and some older players need to move on. Here are the five players Guardiola needs to sell this summer.
