3. Pablo Zabaleta

It’s harder to find any defender that has been more loyal to Manchester City than Pablo Zabaleta. He has been with the club since 2008 and has made over 200 appearances for the Citizens. Playing at right back, Zabaleta has been a figure of stability in an ever-changing City squad. He’s already ready each season and is a fan favorite. But all good things must come to an end and Zabaleta’s time in Manchester may be coming to an end. It’s something Zabaleta is fearing as well.

According to the right back, life has been rough for City players since it was announced that Guardiola would be taking over the Citizens starting this summer. Many of the players fear that they could be heading for an exit from the Etihad this summer.

Zabaleta is getting up there in age as he turned 31 this year and Guardiola may be looking for more youth at that position. He could stay at Manchester City but he likely won’t get the playing time he would like next season. If Zabaleta values playing time, he should leave Man City. Like Navas, a return to La Liga could be in the works for Zabaleta. He played at Espanyol for three years, transferring from Argentina to Spain when he was just a youth player. He still has many memories at the club and could be in line for reunion.
