2. Wilfried Bony

There was a lot of hype surrounding Wilfried Bony’s transfer during the winter transfer window last season. The Ivorian came over from Swansea for around 28 million Euros, a hefty price for any striker. He was supposed to be an upgrade at the striker position alongside Sergio Aguero. Manchester City let both Stefan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko go to Serie A as they made room for Bony.

But sadly Bony has exactly produced the results for Man City. He has scored just eight goals for Manchester City in all competitions. He has been used mostly as a substitute as City are choosing to go with a lone striker up top instead of two strikers up top. For a player worth his transfer fee, coming off the bench isn’t exactly the best thing.

In fact Kelechi Iheanacho, the youngster at City, has been getting some valuable playing time instead of Bony. He even played against Tottenham and scored a goal against Spurs, further impressing Pellegrini and the coaching staff. Iheanacho is in line for more playing time and is the future at the striker position for Man City.

With Aguero leaving after next season, Iheanacho playing the way he is, and Guardiola most likely looking to bring his own strikers in, Bony could be leaving the Etihad this summer.
