5. Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho’s name has been linked to MLS for a long time. It used to be an impossibility back when he was in Barcelona, but after a stint in Mexico and some moving around, the possibility is still there.

At 36 years old, the Brazilian star is well past his prime and is currently without a club after last playing for Fluminense last year. The latest rumor surrounding the former Barcelona maestro is that he might be looking for opportunities in MLS or in the Chinese Super League. Ronaldinho’s brother and agent made such comments recently, according to Brazilian reports,

At this point of his career, it seems a little too late for Ronaldinho to leave a mark in MLS, a league better known for its physicality than for its technique. Still, bringing such a recognizable name to an MLS franchise will always be an interesting option for teams looking to put butts in seats and add some good old South American flair to their midfield.
