5. Battle down the wings

When it comes to quality on the wing, El Clasico has it all. From defense to offense, the left and right hand side will be filled with talent. Neymar, Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi, and Ronaldo will all be attacking on the wings and it will be a big task for the wingbacks.

Jordi Alba is dealing with an ankle issue during the international break but will be back at left back for Barcelona. It will be a big relief for Luis Enrique as he lost defender Jeremy Mathieu to injury this week and if Alba couldn’t have played, Adriano would have been the last resort option.

As good as Adriano has been for the Catalan club, he just can’t deal with the pace Bale or Ronaldo have. Having two wingbacks who can get back quickly like Dani Alves and Jordi Alba is a big boost for Luis Enrique’s side. Probably one of the more underrated things about this Barcelona side.

Real Madrid’s wingbacks will also have a tough time as Neymar and Messi are obviously no slouches as well. The likely starters will be Dani Carvajal and Marcelo will look to try to contain the two main cogs of MSN.
