2. Luis Suarez bounced back

After a very disastrous game against Real Madrid, Luis Suarez came back with a brace against Atletico Madrid with both goals coming in the second half. Suarez was very fortunate for his first goal as he saw the ball bounce off his leg from a mishit from Jordi Alba. He was onside and the ugly goal helped Barcelona level the score and give the Catalans life in the tie.

His second goal was even more impressive. Suarez received the ball from Messi at the edge of the box and immediately played with wide to Dani Alves. Suarez then drifted away from Diego Godin and found space in the box, a mistake that the Uruguayan defender usually make.

Then Alves send the ball right over Godin and right to Suarez who headed it past Jon Oblak for the second goal. It was a quick turnaround for the Catalans and it once again showed why Suarez is one of the top strikers in the world.

He certainly didn’t play entirely well as he was poor in the first half and even picked up a yellow card for shoving Felipe Luis. But he certainly played better than he did in El Clasico.
