James Rodriguez

The Colombian superstar just hasn’t been able to hold down a starting spot at Real Madrid and many expect him to depart the La Liga giants this summer. Manchester United would be an excellent landing spot for the talented James Rodriguez.

He could also play as a number ten for the Red Devils, but again, I think Rooney is best utilized there. Playing out wide to the right is another solid position for James and would give him plenty of time and space on the ball.

Real Madrid isn’t going to let the star attacker go cheaply, but United have deep enough pockets to get a deal done. Woodward and company will also like the fact that James will satisfy fans who are desperate for a “big name” signing at the club. He’ll tick all of those necessary boxes at Old Trafford.

Memphis Depay will be crestfallen by the news, but James Rodriguez is a much better option for United to deploy out on the right. The Real Madrid man could find a steady, starting home in England playing for van Gaal.
