David de Gea

The Spanish keeper has been one of the standouts for United this season and barring an obscene transfer offer, count on him to start in-goal for the Red Devils next season.

Of course, there will continue to be rumors connecting de Gea with a move to Real Madrid all summer long. Don’t count on the tabloids giving that rumor much of a rest unless de Gea comes out with the United badge tattooed on his face.

The reality is that United have signed their keeper to a contract extension which gives them way too much leverage to let him leave the Premier League. They are smart enough to know that he is one of the best keepers in the world, and his ability to play at a high level in the absence of world-class defenders should prove his worth.

David de Gea is almost a certainty to be in the starting 11 for Manchester United next year. Only a truckload of cash from Real Madrid or a horrific injury would prevent it.
