Anthony Martial

The French starlet may believe he’s better off being played as a striker, but at this point in his career his performances have clearly been better when deployed out on the left. Louis van Gaal certainly realizes this fact and will use Martial out wide again next season.

Martial has arguably been United’s best player on the season. That’s an incredible feat for a player in his first full Premier League season at the tender age of 20. He has the highest Whoscored.com player rating on the team and has contributed eight goals and three assists during league play this year. He cost United a pretty penny, but he’s definitely been worth it.

It’s scary to think what heights Martial might reach next year. He’ll have a full year of Premier League experience under his belt, and it’s likely that he’ll have a truly world-class striker to play with for the first time. His game could take a major step forward next year for the club.

If that happens, defenders all around the Premier League will be having nightmares about Martial. He’s already a really good player, a step forward would make him great.
