Kevin De Bruyne would be perfect for Real Madrid
Real Madrid would be wise to replace James Rodriguez with Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne
Real Madrid appear to be prepared to let James Rodriguez walk this summer. That will leave Los Blancos with a void that could be filled perfectly by Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.
Of course Manchester City won’t be in any hurry to let their talisman move on this summer. He’s been the Citizens best attacker on the season and that was only punctuated by yesterday’s match winning goal against PSG. The resolve of the Premier League heavyweights shouldn’t be enough to put off Real Madrid though.
Los Blancos should pursue De Bruyne with every available resource if James really does leave this summer. The Belgian attacker would be devastating playing alongside the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in Zinedine Zidane’s attack.

In many ways, De Bruyne plays as if he’s already at the La Liga club. He is stellar on the ball and can terrorize defenses equally by scoring or assisting. He’s been terrific against Premier League opposition, but he has the rare quality to elevate his game against big-time opponents. It’s that quality in particular that should most interest Zidane and company.
After all, Real Madrid is a club that prides itself on winning silverware outside of La Liga play. The fact that they are limping along in third place behind Barcelona and Atletico doesn’t mean much compared to the club’s thrilling advance past Wolfsburg in the Champions League. Fans of the prestigious club expect their side to be the best in the world, not just the best group in Spain.
De Bruyne wouldn’t satisfy the club’s biggest summer need though. They simply have to add a big-name striker if they intend to let Karim Benzema go due to his off-season struggles. The good news for Los Blancos fans is that the club won’t be afraid to spend tons of money to accomplish that task.
Adding the City star would help ease the pressure on whoever the club signs as their number nine. He may not be a great defensive presence, but he’d thrive with all of the possession that Real enjoys on a regular basis. The attacking midfield trio of Bale, Ronaldo and De Bruyne would give Madrid an attack that could rival Barcelona’s prodigious offense.

Real Madrid hasn’t expressed interest in Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as of late, but don’t be surprised if that link starts to pop up in the British tabloids soon. He’d be the ideal addition to make the club’s attack absolutely unplayable.
