4. Both teams are horrible at penalties

It might be something about the goal at the left end of the Allianz Arena but it was shocking to see both teams miss penalties they should have put away. Bayern Munich were awarded a penalty in the first half as Muller was dragged down by Gimenez on what was a silly foul by the Uruguay international. There were no complaints about it, it was a clear penalty. Muller stepped up and fired a shot to the right of keeper Jon Oblak. Problem was that Oblak dove to his right as well and pushed away the shot. He even made a great save on the rebound as well. That goal would have made it 2-0 and would have probably changed how this game was played for the rest of the 90 minutes.

Atletico Madrid got a penalty at the end of the game as Javi Martinez brought down Fernando Torres near the box and the referee pointed towards the spot. It was a very harsh foul as the foul occurred outside of the area but it was also a silly foul by Martinez as well. Credit to Torres who got his fellow Spaniard to commit to the challenge. Torres, who scored the key away goal against Barcelona in the previous round, stepped up and shot it at the same exact spot that Muller did in the first half. Same exact result.
