With the tie headed back to the Santiago Bernabeau, can Real Madrid advance to the Champions League Final?

After the first leg tie ended up in a 0-0 draw, the tie will head back to Madrid and both teams will be headed into this match well rested. Both will be ready as the winner advances to the Champions League final.

Real Madrid did what they usually do on the weekend as they were victorious in a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad thanks to Gareth Bale’s header in the 80th minute. The victory kept Real in the thick of the title race as they maintained pace with rivals Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. Real Madrid sit 3rd in La Liga with 84 points and are only a point behind the top two.

Manchester City were on the opposite end of the spectrum as they were thrashed 4-2 by Southampton. The Saints started out quicker and better than the Citizens and it costed City in the end. The loss put Manchester City only four points ahead of Manchester United with the Red Devils having a game in hand. With games against Arsenal and Swansea to finish off the season, Manchester City not only have to keep their form in Europe, but they have to keep their form in England.
