Liga MX: Each playoff team’s most important player

Morelia: Carlos Rodriguez

Morelia’s chances at upsetting Leon in the first round will be hinged upon their defensive work. Namely the goalkeeping with Carlos Rodriguez. Rodriguez will be tasked with maintaining a limit on goals allowed as the team gave up 24 this season, most of all playoff teams.

Rodriguez has had his own issues receiving a goal every 63 minutes, again lowest of all playoff teams. However don’t discount this keeper, he has 4 clean sheets making him part of a decent defensive side looking to hold as their offense works to score goals, which that in its self has been a task.

Morelia has an up hill battle in this year’s playoffs, and their run this season is on the shoulders of Carlos Rodriguez.
