Liga MX: Each playoff team’s most important player
Santos Laguna: Agustin Marchesin
Another goalkeeper makes it on to the list of most important players in this season’s playoffs. Agustin Marchesin is an interesting candidate for this list as his team has failed to deliver offensively only scoring 22 goals this season, by far the worst of the top eight clubs.
Marchesin, however, has delivered in his time with Santos Laguna only allowing 20 goals to slip by in 17 matches. He comes close to going a full match without giving up a goal, every 76 minutes.
His clean sheet numbers are impressive with five thus far and will have to maintain that attention to detail to keep Pachuca’s young and talented attackers from scoring, especially in the first game.
