One of Liga MX’s biggest stars will be on the big stage once again, although in a different position of underdog. Gignac, a powerful striker from France has made good on his time in Mexico. While there were rumblings of him seeking a chance in Europe once again he has since squashed those rumors and maintains he loves it in Liga MX.

More from Liga MX

His love for the league shows with him scoring another 13 goals this season leading the league. Unfortunately, for Gignac and his team, they’re not only playing the best team in Liga MX, they’re taking on arch rival Monterrey.

Gignac will have to be “Super Gignac” to give Tigres a chance, a team that has struggled in the latter part of the season and thus why they find themselves having to sneak in to the top 8. Gignac is more than capable of making noise, it’s just a matter of if his team will join him.
