Goalkeepers on forty man roster: David Bingham (San Jose Earthquakes), Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Ethan Horvath (Molde), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)

Final Selections: Guzan, Howard, and Horvath

Outlook: Despite neither Howard or Guzan having a stellar 2015-2016 club season both are still likely to retain their spots because of their history with the national team.

The real question for Klinsmann will be who will start. Howard has received some minutes from Everton in recent weeks which should mean that he has had a chance to shake off the rust. But Guzan will be given some chances to show that he was not the sole reason for Aston Villa’s demise.

David Bingham may seem like the odds-on favorite for the third spot given his tremendous form for the San Jose Earthquakes. But keep in mind that Klinsmann generally has shown a liking more towards young players based in Europe than those in the United States. That, coupled with his success at Molde, gives Horvath a slight edge for the third goalkeeping spot.
