#3- Fabian Castillo

Similar to Darlington Nagbe, Fabian Castillo is the speedy engine that drives an elite MLS club. The Colombian winger has continually improved in his campaigns at FC Dallas, since joining the club in 2011. He has developed from a physically gifted athlete, to a true attacking player. Now 23, Castillo has now become one of the top players that defenders do not want to mark in the entire league, evident by his ranking of #1 in the MLS’s 2015 best 24 players under 24 list. With his long, blazing runs down the flank for FC Dallas, Castillo and his club entered the season as a frontrunner to win the MLS Cup. Battling through an early season hip injury, Castillo has FC Dallas only one point behind the league leading Colorado Rapids.

With his constant improvement in technical aspects of the game, and still possessing such elite physical gifts, it’s easy to project Castillo as a top target for European leagues. Playing alongside James Rodriguez on the Colombian national team is also never a bad thing to learn about the game and catch the eye of scouting departments across the world.  When it was rumored Swansea City of the EPL was interested in Castillo, the FC Dallas front office balked at the idea of moving him. But, as they say, everyone has their price, and if a top team comes calling with a big check, it will be hard to say no to sending their Colombian star overseas.
