5. Battle of the strikers

It’s safe to say that both strikers for both teams have been on fire. No defense has been able to stop Kevin Gamiero and Luis Suarez.

Gamiero had a great second half in the Europa League final. He scored the pivotal equalizer that leveled the game for Sevilla and turned the game around. Mariano did well to get past Alberto Moreno and slid a pass to a wide open Gamiero. The French striker had no issues putting the scoring chance away as he smashed the ball into an open net. It was his eighth goal in the competition and 29th for the year. His knack for being at the right place at the right time has really helped his goal scoring ability. In fact, his career year has helped him garner big interest from top clubs including FC Barcelona.

Speaking of FC Barcelona, they have a very quality striker of their own in Luis Suarez. Suarez had a terrific year for the Catalans has he has scored 62 goals this season. His 40 goals in La Liga earned him the Pichichi, an award that is given to the top goalscorer in Spain. He has scored five goals in his last two appearances and will be looking to break down a Sevilla defense that saw Daniel Sturridge curl one past them for the opening goal.

Both defenses will have to be on high alert with these two attacking threats lurking around them.
