Liverpool

Finished: 8th in Premier League with 60 points

Just two points behind a Europa League spot in the Premier League, Liverpool had a rough season in competition all around. Their final day draw with West Bromwich Albion was tough, as the club could have qualified for the Europa League, but it was not their last chance.

They had a decent Europa League campaign, winning their group by a small margin. After defeating the likes of Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool were all set to face Sevilla in the finals. Winning the finals would have meant automatic qualification for the Champions League next season, so the incentives were high for both teams. Sadly, Liverpool could not hang onto their early lead, and were defeated 3-1.

Though their season was not the most fruitful, there were bright spots throughout. New manager Jürgen Klopp brought an immense passion to the club, uniting the fans and players alike. His fiery approach to coaching the team was fantastic to watch, with his outrageous expressions grabbing headlines every time he was on the touchline.
