Paul Pogba attended the ESPY’s and couldn’t escape the transfer talk and admitted he’s ‘unsure’ what he’d do if Jose Mourinho and Manchester United came calling.

There’s never too much fact that goes into the making of transfer rumors. But surely Paul Pogba isn’t diligently squashing rumors, that much is for certain.

The current Juventus star has been on duty with France this summer at the Euros, where his side lost in the finals to Portugal. In a short break before rejoining Juventus, Pogba was in Los Angeles and couldn’t escape the media.

In a creative and different interview, an ESPN reporter caught up with Pogba at the ESPY’s and presented the Frenchman a bag with three kits in it. First, he pulled out a Juventus jersey.

Pogba saw it and said: “This is my team, my family, where I am playing. I am happy there, I play football, and do things I wanted to do when I was small.”

Satisfied, the reporter then grabbed a Real Madrid jersey out of his magic bag, a club that is irrepressibly linked with Pogba.

“The white house — which won the Champions League this year, a great club,” said Pogba.

Last, the reporter presented Pogba with a Manchester United shirt. He joked and said he didn’t recognize it before saying that they’re “my first club, my first family.”

Pogba was then asked what he would do if United manager Jose Mourinho gave him a call?

“My response would be ‘I don’t know.’ I don’t know when,” said Pogba. “We will see. For the moment, I am here [Juventus] and I am happy here. I don’t know where I want to go.”

If Pogba truly had no interest in leaving Juventus, he wouldn’t have played along with the reporter. The last question was which shirt did he prefer and he said he’ll take all three. A tongue in cheek interview, but still doesn’t do much in allaying fears from Juve that he may well leave this summer.

This will only inject steroids into transfer stories linking the 23-year-old with a return to Manchester United, as if they haven’t already subjugated the transfer rumors section of the internet. You can’t look at a page without seeing something about Pogba as he is the premier player that’s potentially on the market.

More from Playing for 90

Pogba is already one of the top players in the world and it’s scary that he’s so young. It’s difficult to put a valuation on any player, let alone a central midfielder whose contributions aren’t tied directly in goals as it is for strikers.

The figure ‘£100million’ has floated around and I’d be hard pressed to argue with that for how many years he has remaining at the top of his game, more than likely about a decade. That’d be like amortizing his transfer fee to £10million a summer for the next ten years.

Well when it’s put it like that, maybe £100million isn’t too crazy after all?
