1. Sergio Aguero

There is no disputing Manchester City’s #1 and it’s their no. 10, their talisman, Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian striker has been the man at City since her arrived five years ago.

Aguero has been one of their most successful transfers, if not THE most successful. He’s scored 136 goals in 208 appearances since his arrival in Manchester. Last season he scored 24 goals in 29 starts in the league, but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to make more than 31 starts in the Prem since his arrival. Injuries have taken some goals away from him then the child gloves that City has handled him with lately to obviate potential injuries.

City will go as far as Aguero will push them. As laid out with the nine previous players, the team has some fantastic individuals but Aguero’s goals will carry them in the league and, more specifically, Europe.

The player will certainly been good enough to score buckets of goals under Guardiola, he’ll be his new Robert Lewandowski. Guardiola’s teams create chance after chance and he’s always had someone to finish them off, first Lionel Messi Barcelona then Lewandowski in Bavaria. Aguero will be the next of his world-class, prolific strikers.

There’s not particularly a scenario in which Aguero would be taken over atop City’s squad rankings barring an injury that leaves him sidelined for an extended period of time.
