3. Kevin de Bruyne

De Bruyne is unequivocally the best player in the world who turns bright pink when he overheats.

The 25-year-old transitioned back to the Premier League without a hiccup last season. In 22 starts, he scored seven goals and assisted another nine. If not for picking up an injury, he would have hit double-digit goals and assists. When he was on the field he was worth every penny of the £55million that City paid Wolfsburg for his services.

The Belgian is another player that Guardiola has inherited that’ll be perfect for his system. He really needs not to purchase another attacker with the talent that he’s stepped into as the players are all fantastic for his style of play. A combination move that builds from Kompany to Toure to de Bruyne to Silva to Aguero looks on the cards.

In his last season at Wolfsburg, de Bruyne was incredible. In the Bundesliga he scored 10 goals and had 20 assists in 34 matches. He pushed Wolfsburg to challenge with Bayern at the top of the league.

De Bruyne will be in the team every week in a system that will ooze goals and further accentuate his abilities. City scored more than a century of goals last time they won the league in 2013-14 and they’ll push that number again this year with De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero, Sterling and Iheanacho.
