Leicester City shocked the world last season. Can they do it again?

Make no mistake about it: Leicester City’s triumph of the English Premier League last season was one of the greatest shocks in European football history. Considering that the club was projected to be relegated at the tart of the season and that the team as a group of virtual unknowns no one aside from a handful of people were betting on this team to win it all. Yet they did it.

Coming into the 2016-2017 season the consensus among pundits and supporters is that they cannot do it a second time. After one year of fun the major powers of the Premier League are going to come back, take their top four spots, and everything will go back to normal.

But will it? Leicester City supporters certainly hope not.

There is a change going on in English football. With major revenue coming in from their television contract and youth academy players being given more of an opportunity the field is leveling some. The major powers cannot just have a terrible season and expect to coast into a top four spot. Perhaps it is a bit of parity but at least it is making things a bit more interesting.

So without further adieu let’s get to the three hopes and one fear of Leicester City!
