Tottenham have a chance to ace the summer transfer window

Tottenham have gotten off to an excellent start in the summer transfer window. Both of Spurs new signings, Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama, have already proven to be excellent purchases. Furthermore, the club haven’t lost anyone of real consequence either. Still, there’s work to be done to take this transfer window from good to great.

This piece will take you through a step-by-step guide of what Tottenham should do between now and the end of August. It will include some purchases, but also some sales. A great transfer window has to strike the right balance between incoming and outgoing stars.

When I refer to this as the potential dream window, I do qualify it by saying there has to at least be some chance of a particular transfer coming off. Obviously Lionel Messi isn’t giving Barcelona up for White Hart Lane this summer. In sharp contrast, Munir might be willing to make that leap. Even though I don’t see the latter happening, it still is eligible to be included in this piece because it’s at least possible.

Without further adieu, let’s jump right into the first step Daniel Levy should take to make this transfer window his best Spurs effort ever.
