If Alberto Moreno was likely to start for Liverpool this would be the easiest call on the pitch. Fortunately for Klopp, he’ll be able to turn to James Milner to provide some stability in his back four against Spurs.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are quite happy to trot Danny Rose out as a starter. He has grown as much as any Spur under Pochettino’s tutelage and is now a full-fledged English international.

The two players are polar opposites of one another as well. Milner is a very steady, almost boring, football player. Rose, on the other hand, is a ball of energy and athleticism out on the pitch. He’s a lightning rod for controversy whereas it’s easy to forget Milner is on the pitch.

Tottenham gets a pretty sizable edge in this matchup. Milner’s lack of pace is going to cause him to struggle mightily against Spurs’ attackers. Don’t be surprised if his lack of athleticism leads to several significant scoring opportunities for Tottenham.
