Right Sided Centre Back

Tottenham will start Toby Alderweireld who might be the best centre back in the Premier League today. He’s going to get the edge over almost every other defender in England based on his current form.

Liverpool will start former Southampton man Dejan Lovren as their other central defender. The former Pochettino pupil has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival at Liverpool. Many Reds fans are surprised he has held on to a starting position under Klopp.

Tottenham will look to isolate Lovren any chance they get on Saturday. He’s prone to commit a foul in a dangerous position and that’s a big worry for Klopp and company. Giving up free kicks to Christian Eriksen is a recipe for disaster for Premier League opponents.

Alderweireld’s stellar form makes this a pretty easy call. Tottenham have a huge advantage at this spot on the pitch. Liverpool will just hope Lovren can keep it close.
