Group G

Leicester City
FC Porto
Club Brugge
FC Copenhagen

The Leicester City fairytale gets a possible sequel as the Foxes get perhaps the best draw of the group stage. They were of course helped by the fact that they were in Pot 1 because of the new rules but they could have been stuck with Sevilla, Dortmund or Monchengladbach and instead get FC Porto and Club Brugge.

No disrespect to Porto but they are not quite on the same level as some of the other clubs in Pot 2. Leicester has a real chance to advance and it will actually be quite the disappointment if they do not move on the knockout round at the very least.

The Foxes’ schedule is also favorable as they begin against Brugge then get two home matches against Porto and Copenhagen back to back. They could easily collect seven points from those matches and the final day against Porto at the Estadio de Dragao could be a dead rubber.

Leicester City to win the group, Porto to finish a close second, Copenhagen to Europa, and Brugge to head home after the group stage.
