9. Brazil

Brazilian players in the Premier League used to be as rare as modesty from Kim Kardashian. One of the first to make his name in England was Juninho Paulista who had three stints with Middlesbrough. He was a part of the squad that won the 2004 Football League Cup, which to this day is Middlesbrough’s only major trophy. In a 2007 fan’s poll Juninho was voted as Middlesbrough’s greatest ever player.

Other Brazilians that had an impact include Gilberto and Edu of Arsenal.

Of course there were players that would like to forget their time in England. That list includes Jo at Manchester City, Andre Santos at Arsenal, Anderson at Manchester United and Paulinho of Tottenham.

The current group of 12 Brazilians in England’s top flight are having a lot of success. Chelsea’s Willian and Oscar have just been reunited with fellow countryman David Luiz at the London club. Then there’s Liverpool’s trio of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva.

Manchester City have midfielders Fernandinho and Fernando while Arsenal’s defense includes the currently injured Gabriel Paulista.
