How does each Tottenham star grade out?
In advance of this weekend’s massive showdown against Manchester City, it seems logical for Tottenham to take stock of the squad. While Spurs have started the Premier League campaign without a loss, some players have certainly performed better than others.
In all fairness, manager Mauricio Pochettino has been forced to use more of the squad than he would have liked. Injuries have required the Argentine boss to shuffle the starting XI quite a bit.
The upside to that reality is that a lot of young players have gotten more opportunities than we expected. For the most part, each young starlet has shown very well. Expect their grades to be pretty high.
Unfortunately, the summer signings haven’t fared as well as the Academy products. Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen have both struggled to really kick on. My evaluations of each summer signing won’t be nearly as pretty as the youth grades.
