Tottenham put on a clinic against Manchester City

Tottenham silenced any doubters as to their Premier League title credentials with a dominant 2-0 win over Manchester City today. It was a dominating effort by Mauricio Pochettino’s club. Of course, some Spurs stars were better than others.

It’s almost unfair to criticize any performance from a Tottenham player on the day. They had the better of Pep Guardiola’s side from the opening whistle. City had some chances in front of goal, but Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris was a stone wall on the afternoon.

The performance is even more impressive considering the club’s injury issues on the afternoon. Harry Kane continues to miss time due to injury and Spurs’ midfield ace Moussa Dembele also was unavailable. It’s not an exaggeration to say that Tottenham won the match without its two brightest stars.

Fortunately, Spurs have a big squad now that’s capable of handling such adversity. They aren’t a club made up of one or two superstars, they’re a club with quality from top to bottom. Read on to discover which squad members shone the brightest in the decisive win over Manchester City.
