Dele Alli-8.5

I’m pretty sure Alli’s critics are going to be pretty silent this week. The midfield starlet put on a scintillating offensive performance against Manchester City.

It wasn’t just his classy goal that earns him such a solid rating. He repeatedly made penetrating runs right into the heart of City’s defense. Nicolas Otamendi will be having nightmares about Dele for at least a week.

Christian Eriksen-7.5

It wasn’t the Danish attacker’s best performance, but he’s on a run of consistently above average performances. In fact, it seems that he’s really learning how to play a deeper role for the squad.

Dare I say that he looks like he’s been watching film of Luka Modric in a Spurs shirt? He put on a pretty good impression of the Croatian star today. Neither is ever going to be the most physical midfielder on the planet, but they both can really open up a defense with their excellent skill on the ball.

Moussa Sissoko-7

We saw a better effort from the French midfielder today. He made a surprise return to the starting XI and rewarded Pochettino with a solid shift.

The hope is that his offensive production will increase over time, because it wasn’t there against City. Still, he deserves credit for competing on the defensive end of the pitch as well. His physical play kept City honest on the wing.
