Number 4-The squad is deeper

One reason that Tottenham aren’t likely to fade away like last season is the fact that Pochettino has a much deeper squad this year. There isn’t any spot on the pitch where Spurs can’t deploy a quality replacement for a starter.

The further we get into the season, the better Daniel Levy’s summer transfer window starts to look. Vincent Janssen may or may not work out in the end, but every other purchase looks to be exceptional.

Paying 11 million pounds for Victor Wanyama amounts to highway robbery in today’s market. He’s been the club’s best defensive midfielder to start the season. Even when Dembele and Eric Dier round back into health and form, I’m not sure they’re going to be able to push the talented Kenyan out of the starting XI.

Deadline Day was also an excellent endeavor for Levy. Adding Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou gives Pochettino a lot more depth in his attacking midfield. The ability to rotate the squad should keep everyone fresh down the stretch.
