Reason Number 1-Mauricio Pochettino

Most Tottenham fans have known this for a while, but Mauricio Pochettino is at least as good of a manager as anyone in the Premier League. I would even go so far as to say he’s the best manager in England’s top flight.

This was never more apparent than during Spurs’ last match against Manchester City. Going against Pep Guardiola, a man most believe is one of the world’s top managers, was a huge challenge for Pochettino.

The Spurs boss came into the match with a clear game plan that his squad executed to perfection. What resulted was a complete and utter domination of a Manchester City side that many thought was borderline unbeatable.

It’s not just his tactical prowess that makes Pochettino great. It’s the true connection he’s fostered with everyone the club. His players clearly love playing for him and are willing to run through walls for his approval.

Just as importantly, the Spurs fan base loves cheering for Pochettino. He’s instilled an immense sense of pride and identify that hasn’t been seen at Tottenham in a long time. When Spurs win the title, Pochettino should get the first turn holding the trophy.
