We break down Tottenham’s best possible starting XI

It’s quite a different year for Tottenham. Mauricio Pochettino’s club is blessed with significant depth at almost every position. Each day of training brings intense competition for places in his starting XI.

Up until now, most of the manager’s choices have been made for him. Moussa Dembele missed the start of the season due to suspension, and lately the club’s been hit with a rash of injuries. Harry Kane, Dembele, Danny Rose and Eric Dier have all missed multiple matches due to a variety of injuries.

That’s forced Pochettino to choose from a relatively small amount of available players for every match. Spurs fans hope that won’t be the case all year-long. It begs an interesting question, who would be the manager’s starting XI if every member of the squad was fit and firing?

That’s the answer we attempt to answer today. Assuming each member of the squad was healthy, who would make up Tottenham’s best starting XI? Read on for a position-by-position breakdown of who would make up Spurs best XI.
